Using your 18V LXT® Brushless 5” Dry/Wet Masonry Saw is easy. First, make sure you've got a fully - charged Makita 18V LXT battery. If you're doing wet cutting, connect the water supply kit and adjust the water flow as needed to meet OSHA requirements. For straight cuts, attach the guide rail and adapter (both sold separately). When starting the saw, use the lock - off power switch which requires two actions to prevent accidental starts. For dry cutting, pair the saw with an AWS - equipped dust extractor (sold separately) using the Auto - start Wireless System. When making cuts, the blade can be adjusted for depth at 90° and up to 45° for bevel cuts. After use, turn off the saw and disconnect the power source. Keep the saw clean and dry. Wipe it down after each use to remove dust and debris. Check the blade regularly for wear and replace it if necessary. Only use genuine Makita batteries and chargers to ensure optimal performance and safety. The saw has a 3 - year limited warranty, but always follow the safety instructions in the manual.
