Crystal Rez is a remarkable clear resin water-based emulsion curing compound. It's specially designed for freshly finished horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces. This product offers an economical alternative to traditional cure and seals. It forms a clear, non-yellowing membrane that can even contribute to LEED credits.
Key benefits include:
- Dries to a transparent membrane without ugly yellow or amber residues.
- Promotes efficient curing, boosting the concrete's strength and wear resistance.
- Minimizes surface dusting.
- Is compatible with SpecChem Tilt-up Bondbreakers.
- Prepares the substrate for later application of paints, sealers, coatings, and floor covering adhesives after the curing membrane dissipates or is removed.
Application:
- Thoroughly stir before use. Use clean application equipment free of foreign matter. The best way to apply is by spray. Apply at temperatures above 40°F. Mask areas for caulking to avoid over - application. Don't let the product pool.
- Coverage rates vary with concrete texture and porosity: 100 - 500 sq. ft/gal right after final trowel or form stripping; 250 - 350 sq. ft/gal for tilt - up casting bed cure.
Packaging: Available in 5 - gallon pails (18.9 L) and 55 - gallon drums (208.2 L).
Shelf Life: Store in the original, tightly sealed container in a dry place for up to 1 year from the manufacture date. Avoid water, dirt, or other contaminants. Keep from freezing.
Standards: Meets ASTM C309, Types 1 and 1D, Class A & B; Complies with AASHTO M148, Type 1, Class A & B; VOC content compliant for Concrete Curing Compounds at 98 g/l.

Using Crystal Rez is easy. First, make sure to stir the product well before you start. Use clean equipment to avoid any foreign materials getting into the compound. The best way to apply it is by spraying. But remember, only apply it when the temperature is above 40°F. If there are areas where you'll be doing caulking later, cover them up so you don't apply too much of the product. And don't let it form puddles on the concrete.
The amount of product you'll need depends on the texture and porosity of the concrete. Right after the final trowel or form stripping, you can expect to cover 100 - 500 square feet per gallon. For tilt - up casting bed cure, it's 250 - 350 square feet per gallon.
When it comes to storage, keep the product in its original, tightly sealed container in a dry area. It'll last up to 1 year from the manufacture date. Make sure to keep it away from water, dirt, and other contaminants, and don't let it freeze.
This product helps your concrete cure well, making it stronger and more resistant to wear. It also stops the surface from getting dusty. Once the curing membrane goes away or is removed, you can easily apply paints, sealers, and other coatings on the concrete.
