The new PM2700 Shaper outshines other shapers in its class with a host of great features. It comes with an extra-large 30' x 40' precision-ground cast iron table, paired with a heavy-duty miter gauge supported by aluminum extrusion. The built-in, omni-directional caster system (patent pending) can be retracted into the base. A quick-release lever enables fast speed and belt changes. The extruded aluminum fence has multiple T-slots, allowing you to mount a wood face for a no-clearance surface around shaper or router bits. It also allows for quick positioning, locking, and precision micro-adjustments. A digital readout for spindle height ensures adjustments within .001', crucial for aligning rail and stile cutters for raised panel doors. Features include a digital readout for exact spindle height and .001' adjustments, a heavy-duty 30' x 40' precision-ground tabletop, a heavy-duty cast iron base, 3/4' and 1-1/4' spindles, independently adjustable fence sides, integrated casters for mobility, micro-adjust control knobs for the fence, a superior clear cutter guard for safety and full cut observation, a table predrilled and tapped for feeder mounting in two locations, and two-speed reversible spindle speeds.

Using the PM2700 Shaper is easy. First, make sure the power is off before any setup. Place your stock on the 30' x 40' precision-ground tabletop and use the heavy-duty miter gauge to guide it. Adjust the spindle height using the digital readout for precise settings. You can use the quick-release lever to change the speed and belt. The extruded aluminum fence can be quickly moved and locked in place, then use the micro-adjust control knobs for fine-tuning. When using the shaper, always wear safety goggles and follow safety procedures. Make sure the clear cutter guard is in place to protect you and allow you to observe the cut. For dust collection, connect a system with at least 600 CFM to the 4-inch dust port. Regularly check the motor and spindle for any signs of wear or damage. Lubricate moving parts as recommended in the manual. Keep the table clean and free of debris. If you need to move the shaper, use the integrated casters by raising or lowering them as needed.
