Pneumatic Drive Units

These high-torque and slow-speed pneumatic drive units are perfect for special driving and tapping tasks, such as hot tapping pipes. They come with integrated torque reaction stabilizers. The air connection is 1' NPT and the hose ID is 1'. Here's a model example: Model No. 2 2804 0010 has a 1-1/8' F square drive, a stall torque of 1327 ft-lbs. at 90 PSI, a free speed of 40 RPM, a load speed of 20 RPM, 5 HP power, 141 CFM at 90 PS, and side-to-center distances of 3.6 and 82 inches.

Using these drive units is easy. First, connect the air source to the 1' NPT air connection and use a hose with a 1' ID. Make sure the unit is well - stabilized with the integrated torque reaction stabilizers before starting any driving or tapping work. When operating, keep an eye on the pressure. The stall torque and speed values are based on 90 PSI, so try to maintain this pressure for optimal performance. After use, clean the unit regularly to remove any debris. Check the air connection and hoses for leaks. If you notice any abnormal noises or reduced performance, stop using the unit and have it inspected.
