Using the Bartell BR3570 Compactor is easy. First, make sure the engine is properly fueled with the recommended gasoline. Start the engine following the Honda GX270's startup instructions. You can use the hydraulic reversing mechanism to move the compactor forward, backward, or for spot compaction. When working, drive the compactor slowly over the area you want to compact to ensure even compaction. For larger areas, you can attach the optional extension plates. If you're working on a surface that needs protection, use the urethane mat. When it comes to maintenance, regularly check the cast aluminum throttle lever for any signs of wear. Inspect the new closed-style frame for damage and the cast aluminum belt cover for proper fit. The ductile iron bases should be checked for cracks. Keep the engine maintained as per Honda's guidelines, including regular oil changes and air filter replacements. Always wear appropriate safety gear like safety glasses, ear protection, and work boots when operating this compactor.
