Using the 18V LXT® Sub-Compact Brushless Hammer Driver-Drill is easy. First, insert the Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery into the drill. Make sure it's properly seated. For normal drilling and driving tasks, you can use the two speed settings according to your needs. The lower speed (0 - 500 RPM) is great for more precise work like driving screws, while the higher speed (0 - 1,700 RPM) is suitable for faster drilling. If you need to drill into concrete or masonry, switch the drill to hammer mode. Remember, you'll need to use a masonry bit (sold separately) for this. The dual LED lights on the drill will help you see your work area clearly, especially in dark spaces. When installing or removing bits, use the 1/2-inch keyless chuck.
