All models come with a slip clutch overload protection mechanism, which stops the hoist from lifting loads heavier than its rated capacity. You can choose between single or three-phase configurations to fit your electrical setup. Single-phase models have thermal overload protection to prevent overheating, while three-phase models feature a reverse phase relay to protect against incorrect wiring. The industry-proven DC electro-magnetic brake adds an extra layer of safety by holding the load even when the power goes out. The maintenance-free gear train with a sealed oil bath ensures long-lasting reliability. Available in capacities from 1/2-Ton to 5-Ton and standard lifts of 10, 15, and 20 feet (custom lifts available). Using your JET® SSC Series Electric Hoist is easy. First, make sure the hoist is properly installed according to the electrical requirements (single or three - phase). Connect the load to the Grade 80 load chain carefully. Use the 24 - volt push button controller to lift or lower the load. Keep in mind that the hoist has a slip clutch overload protection, so don't try to lift loads heavier than its rated capacity. For single - phase models, the thermal overload protection will activate if the hoist overheats, so avoid continuous long - term use without breaks. Three - phase models need correct wiring to work safely; the reverse phase relay is there to protect against wiring mistakes. When power is interrupted, the DC electro - magnetic brake will hold the load in place. For maintenance, you're in luck because the gear train has a sealed oil bath, which means no regular upkeep is needed. But do check the load chain regularly for any signs of wear and tear. Also, keep the hoist clean and dry to ensure its long - term performance. And be aware that it may cause cancer and reproductive harm as indicated by Prop 65.
