LOW - PRESSURE ONE - COMPONENT POLYURETHANE FOAM SEALANT (OCF)
Common Product Uses
- Residential
- Air - seal your attic for better energy efficiency
- Seal electrical outlets and openings to prevent air leakage and potential fire hazards
- Seal through stud penetrations, baseplates, and plumbing penetrations
- Perfect for Type V residential fire blocking
This fire block is great for wall drafting and wire/pipe penetration. It's not a fire stop, though. This low - pressure, one - component, polyurethane foam sealant cures with moisture. It seals, fills, bonds, and stops air infiltration in areas where a fire block product is needed. HandiFoam Fireblock comes in a bright orange color, so inspectors can easily spot an approved fire block product for Type V residential construction. Thanks to its expansion features, it's more effective than many traditional fire blocking materials at blocking flames and smoke in concealed penetrations, keeping fires from spreading between rooms and floors.
HandiFoam Fireblock is UL GREENGUARD Gold certified, which means it helps create a healthier indoor environment.
It comes in various sizes and can be applied with a straw applicator or a Handi - Tool® Dispensing Unit.

Before starting, make sure the area is clean and dry. Apply the foam evenly in the areas you want to seal, like electrical outlets or plumbing penetrations. It'll be tack - free in about 5 minutes, and you can cut it in less than an hour. It'll fully cure in 12 to 24 hours. Remember, this is a fire block, not a fire stop. Also, it's UL GREENGUARD Gold certified, so it's good for your indoor air quality. Keep it in a cool, dry place, and it'll last for 15 months. If you have any big projects, this case of 12 cans will come in handy.
