Back Up Pad for Silicon Carbide Sandpaper

Our Weha Yellow Foam Velcro Flexible Backup Pads are designed to work perfectly with Velcro - backed silicon carbide sandpaper. The 5/8' thick yellow foam offers excellent cushioning. This allows the sandpaper to smoothly roll over edges and inside bowls during sanding. In terms of quality and performance, these pads can be compared to Diskit flexible backup pads. They come with a 5/8 - 11 brass thread and a center water hole for wet use. You can use these pads either wet or dry, providing great flexibility for your sanding needs.

Using this backup pad is easy. First, make sure you have the right Velcro - backed silicon carbide sandpaper. Attach the sandpaper to the backup pad. If you're sanding wet, connect the pad to a water source through the center water hole. When sanding, let the foam cushion do its job, and the sandpaper will smoothly move over edges and inside bowls. As for maintenance, keep the pad clean after each use. If it gets dirty, you can wash it gently with water and mild soap. When not in use, store it in a dry place. Remember, this pad can be used both wet and dry, so choose the method that suits your project best.
