The Coil Lifter is a great tool for effortlessly moving various types of coiled materials. It comes in two mounting options: carriage mount and fork mount.
You can order units with either a 4-1/2' or 5-5/8' diameter rams to fit different core sizes and capacities. It's built with sturdy steel and painted blue. Fork-mounted units have 7-1/2' wide x 2-1/2' tall (usable) fork pockets centered at 24', while carriage-mounted units are secured to the forklift carriage with a spring-loaded lock pin.
Using the Coil Lifter is simple. First, decide whether you'll use the carriage mount or fork mount based on your needs. If it's a fork - mounted unit, slide the forks into the 7 - 1/2' wide x 2 - 1/2' tall fork pockets centered at 24'. For carriage - mounted units, use the spring - loaded lock pin to secure it to the forklift carriage. Then, position the lifter over the coiled material and start maneuvering. When it comes to measurements, remember they're approximate, so there might be slight differences. As for maintenance, regularly check the steel construction for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any issues, address them right away to keep the lifter in good working condition. Also, keep it clean to prevent rusting, especially since it's painted blue.
