It can aggressively remove material and cut deeper to create a beautiful antique look on the stone, enhancing its natural color. The Airflex brushes, starting from 120 grit, add color and form a soft antique finish. To achieve a typical antique finish, start with Filiflex 36, 46, and 60 grit, then finish with Airflex 120, 220, 300, and 400 grit. Higher grits are also available for a polished finish.
Using the Frankfurt Tenax Filiflex Extra 46 Grit Stone Polishing Brush is easy. First, make sure your existing fabrication shop tools are in good condition. Then, attach the brush to the tool and start working on the stone. When using it, keep the tool moving evenly across the stone surface to get an even finish. For a typical antique look, start with the Filiflex 36, 46, and 60 grit brushes, and then finish up with the Airflex 120, 220, 300, and 400 grit brushes. As for maintenance, after each use, clean the brush thoroughly to remove any stone debris. Store it in a dry place to prevent rust and damage. Also, check the bristles regularly.
