Description

The Alpha Summit Metal Bond Wheels are specially crafted for surface preparation and polishing of granite. These wheels are designed to work with radial arm polishers. Key features include: 1. They can effectively grind and hone granite surfaces, removing gang saw marks and getting the surface ready for a smooth polish. 2. Offer aggressive and high - quality performance, quickly and easily smoothing out the backside of slabs. 3. Provide fast and consistent results with a long service life. Available in diameters of 6', 8' and 10', and grits of #50, #80, #200 and #400. Ideal for North American markets, they are suitable for various fabrication applications like countertops, tabletops, and monument applications such as interior walls. With different colors for each size - grit combination (e.g., green for 50 grit, blue for 80 grit, yellow for 200 grit, and orange for 400 grit), these wheels can fit on most common radial arm polishers. For best results, run at 400 RPMs with medium to light pressure and a constant water flow.

Using these Alpha Summit Metal Bond Wheels is straightforward. First, make sure your radial arm polisher is set up correctly. Attach the wheel that matches the grit and size you need for your granite project. When you start polishing, keep the pressure medium to light and maintain a constant water flow. This will help the wheel work effectively and also prevent overheating. For best results, run the polisher at 400 RPMs. As for maintenance, after each use, clean the wheel thoroughly to remove any granite debris. Store the wheels in a dry place to prevent rusting. If you notice the wheel isn't performing as well as it used to, it might be time to replace it. Also, always wear appropriate safety gear like goggles and gloves when using these wheels.
