Using this 18V LXT® Detail Belt Sander is easy. First, make sure you're using a genuine Makita 18V Lithium - Ion battery with a Star symbol. Insert the battery into the tool. Adjust the variable speed control dial according to the task at hand. For lighter work, use a lower speed, and for tougher jobs, go for a higher speed. The adjustable LED light can be set to match the angle of the sanding arm or the shape of the workpiece, so you can see clearly. When you're done with a sanding spot, use the electric brake to quickly reposition the tool. To reach tight spaces, take advantage of the 160 - degree pivoting arm. There are 3 different size arm assemblies available. You can choose the one that suits your work best; 1/4” and 1/2” assemblies are optional.
