Description

This 1,300 - pound heavy - duty cast - iron planer offers unwavering rigidity and precise planning for years. The hinged top gives easy access to rollers and knives, and there's a 5” dust port for seamless attachment to any dust collection system. Its helical cutterhead with 125 four - sided knife inserts ensures a top - notch finish and quiet operation. The anti - kickback fingers and pressure bar near the cutterhead guarantee an excellent result. Infeed and outfeed rollers with roller bearings last a long time. The sectional infeed roller and chip breaker let you plane multiple boards at once. Adjustable bed rollers make both rough and finish planning easy. The solid steel outfeed roller with small serrations provides smooth finishing and positive feeding. The two - speed gearbox can be quickly changed for different work. The large, ribbed cast - iron table is ground smooth and can be raised via a hand wheel. With a powerful 7.5 - horsepower motor, it's ideal for small to medium shops with continuous planing needs. Features include 2 feed speeds (20/30 fpm), adjustable bed rollers, all - cast - iron construction, a dust chute with a 5' port, a helical cutterhead for better cutting, roller - bearing - mounted feed rollers, and a segmented infeed roller for multiple - height stock. Specifications cover stock number, various dimensions, motor details, and more.

Using this planer is easy. First, make sure it's properly connected to a 230V power supply. You can choose between the 20 or 30 fpm feed speeds depending on whether you're doing rough or fine finish work. Place your workpiece on the table and adjust the bed rollers for smooth feeding. When you're ready, start the motor and let the planer do its job. Remember to use the dust collection system through the 5” dust port to keep your workspace clean. As for safety, always be aware of the anti - kickback fingers and pressure bar near the cutterhead. Don't try to plane boards shorter than 10 inches. For maintenance, regularly check the roller bearings on the infeed and outfeed rollers. Keep the cutterhead clean and replace the knife inserts when they get dull. You can also lubricate the moving parts occasionally to ensure smooth operation. And since it has a Prop 65 warning, take necessary precautions to avoid exposure to substances that may cause cancer and reproductive harm.
