Using the Eterra Stump Planer is straightforward. First, match the right model (10' or 14') with the appropriate auger drive. The 10' model goes with the 3500 Auger drive, and the 14' one needs the 4500 drive. Make sure the torque requirements are met (2200 ft - lbs for the 10' and 3300 ft - lbs for the 14'). Attach the planer to the auger drive using the 2' hex hub. When removing stumps, if they're large, position the planer off - center and make 3 or 4 passes to grind them effectively. As for maintenance, check the steel cutting blades regularly. They're sharpenable and replaceable, so if they get dull or damaged, replace them promptly. Also, inspect the replaceable spiral pilot and pilot blades. Store the planer in a dry place to prevent rusting and keep it in good working condition.
