Description

The M5 Series offers high - performance cleaning solutions. There are four models in this series: M5 - 1, M5 - 2, M5 - 1E, and M5 - 2E. The M5 - 1 and M5 - 2 have an 8 - foot wide clearing area, with power supplies of 115V and 230V respectively, both having 1/2 horsepower, weighing 21 lbs, and a removal rate of 70 - 100 square feet per hour. The M5 - 1E and M5 - 2E feature a 12 - foot wide clearing area, 115V and 230V power supplies respectively, also 1/2 horsepower, weighing 27 lbs, and a removal rate of 100 - 150 square feet per hour. Before operating, note that the Aurand cleaning tool (electric model) has a universal motor efficient on both direct and alternating current. It comes in 115V or 230V, but not both on one machine. Check the voltage on the name plate. Always read the instructions before starting. When operating, wear safety glasses and hearing protection. Grasp the handles, lift the front of the tool, squeeze the trigger, and let the cutters reach speed before use. Guide the tool back and forth with both hands and let its weight do the work. Avoid applying pressure. For depth adjustment due to cutter wear, loosen the screw, move the depth shoe up or down, and then tighten the screw. To replace the cutter bundle, install cotter pins and washers on the spindle ends, slide out the old cutter bundle and felt, slide in new ones with the large round hole facing the side plate and cutter tips in the rotation direction, and reinstall the cotter pins and washers.

Using the M5 Series cleaning tools is straightforward. First, put on safety glasses and hearing protection. Grab the handles and lift the front of the tool off the surface. Squeeze the trigger and wait for the cutters to reach the right speed before using it on the surface. Move the tool back and forth with both hands, and let the tool's weight do the cleaning work. Don't push down on it as it can damage the motor, gears, and cutters. Before you start using the tool, check the name plate for the correct voltage. The tool can work with either 115V or 230V, but not both on one machine. Over time, you may need to adjust the depth if the cutters wear out. Just loosen the screw, move the depth shoe up or down, and then tighten the screw again. When it's time to replace the cutter bundle, put cotter pins and washers on the ends of the spindle. Slide out the old cutter bundle and felt, then slide in the new ones. Make sure the large round hole faces the side plate and the cutter tips point in the direction of rotation. Finally, put the cotter pins and washers back on the spindle.
