Description

The Blue Diamond® Heavy Duty Series 2 Power Rake comes right after our earlier Severe Duty model. This lighter - weight unit is perfect for smaller frame skid steers and walk - behind machines. With a bolt - on mount, it offers great flexibility for rental companies and dealers. Mounts are available for both mini and full - size skid steer machines. The working width of the machines varies with the angle. At a 10 - degree angle, it's 3 inches less than the rotor width, and at a 20 - degree angle, it's 6 inches less. For instance, a 72 - inch rake has a 69 - inch working width at 10 degrees and 66 inches at 20 degrees. This rule applies to all our rakes. Over 3,000 PSI requires a case drain. The rakes come with optional skid shoes and either replaceable or fixed hardened steel or carbide teeth. Key features include a 7 - inch diameter drum with 1.5 - inch teeth, a chain drive unit for more torque, a pre - lubricated chain for easy service, 1 3/8 - inch diameter spindles on the drum in greaseable bearings, drum widths of 48, 60, and 72 inches, an overall width 9 inches more than the drum width, and 7/8 - inch greaseable axles on wheels. Check out the BDA HD SERIES 2 POWER RAKE MANUAL and HD SERIES 2 POWER RAKE SPEC SHEET for more details. Here are the product specs: different part numbers have replaceable or fixed teeth, with varying working widths (straight, angled, and overall) and weights.

Using the Blue Diamond Heavy Duty Series 2 Power Rake is straightforward. First, make sure you select the right mount for your skid steer machine, whether it's a mini or full - size one. Once it's attached, you can start using it for your ground - working tasks. When operating, be aware of the working width changes based on the angle settings. At a 10 - degree angle, the working width is 3 inches less than the rotor width, and at a 20 - degree angle, it's 6 inches less. If your system pressure goes over 3,000 PSI, you'll need to have a case drain. As for maintenance, the pre - lubricated chain is easy to service. Regularly grease the bearings on the spindles and the axles on the wheels. Also, check the teeth regularly. If you have replaceable teeth, replace them when they get worn out. And keep in mind that the rakes come with optional skid shoes, which you can use as needed for better performance.
